About the package
Gokyo is a high-altitude trek within the Everest region where you will observe Nepal's longest glacier, Ngazumpa Glacier, and a series of six beautiful high-altitude lakes. Gokyo and associated lakes have an entire area of 700 hectares and are known as a wetland of international importance under the Ramsar Convention in 2007. The alpine pasture and slopping mountains of the Gokyo Valley support varieties of species like the Kutki plant, Himalayan Thar, ounce, and Wood Snipe. This area is vital for several species of birds that migrate over the Himalayas. The side trip of the rocky peak, Gokyo Ri (5,357m), could be a tempting Himalayan viewpoint. You will see the vast bulk of the Ngazumpa glacier and Gokyo lakes within the settlement on the shores of the third lake. At an equivalent time from the Gokyo Ri, you can see four of the world's ten 8,000m mountains .i,e, Cho Oyo (8,201m), Lhotse (8,516m), Makalu (8,485m), and Everest (8,848m). The highest of the Gokyo Ri has crisscrossed prayer flags that flutter within the fierce wind. Another side trip from Gokyo is further along the Ngazumpa Glacier through the valley on the moraine, with alpine pasture offering to soar and dramatic views of mountain peaks including Cho Oyu, Gychung Kang (7,922m), Mt. Everest, and therefore, 4th and 5th lakes. You will combine this trek with the Everest base camp trek by crossover a high-altitude pass called the Cho La (5,330m).

Frequently Asked Questions
The peak seasons for visiting Nepal are October-November and March-April. During these months, you'll experience clear skies, moderate temperatures, and excellent visibility of the mountains. October-November offers stable weather after the monsoon season, while March-April treats visitors to blooming rhododendrons in the hills. However, be aware that these are also the busiest periods, so we recommend booking your trek and accommodations well in advance.
Yes, most trekking areas require permits. For popular routes like the Annapurna Circuit or Everest Base Camp, you'll need both a TIMS (Trekkers' Information Management System) card and specific regional permits. Our agency handles all permit arrangements for our clients, including the required documentation and fees. We also ensure your permits are obtained well before your arrival to avoid any last-minute complications.
We offer treks suitable for all fitness levels. For beginners, we recommend shorter treks like the Ghorepani Poon Hill trek (4-5 days) or the Nagarkot-Chisapani trek near Kathmandu. For experienced trekkers, we offer challenging routes like the Everest Base Camp trek or the Manaslu Circuit. We always assess our clients' fitness levels and previous trekking experience to recommend the most suitable routes and provide appropriate preparation guidance.
Kathmandu's main cultural highlights include the Durbar Squares of Kathmandu, Patan, and Bhaktapur, the Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple), Pashupatinath Temple, and Boudhanath Stupa. We recommend at least 3-4 days to properly explore these UNESCO World Heritage sites. Our guided city tours include knowledgeable local guides who can explain the rich history and significance of each site, and we can customize itineraries based on your interests and available time.
In Kathmandu, we partner with hotels ranging from comfortable 3-star to luxury 5-star properties, all in convenient locations. During treks, accommodation varies by route and preference. Most trekking routes offer tea houses (mountain lodges) with basic but clean facilities. For more comfort, we also organize luxury lodge treks on certain routes. For remote treks, we can arrange fully-supported camping trips with our experienced staff handling all logistics, including meals and equipment.
