Mera peak is one of the most popular of Nepal's 18 "Trekking Peaks". From the trekker, the walk from Lukla through the Sherpa country of the remote Inkhu valley is an unforgettable experience, offering superb scenery, and abundant wildlife - including rumoured sightings of the legendary yeti. Also the highest of the trekking peak with not much requirement of special technical skills or difficult for climbing it's very famous among the trekkers who want to achieve something over 6,400meter. About 700 foreign visitors climb the 6,661m. Mera peak each year, an achievement which requires basic mountaineering skills and a special permit from the Nepal Mountaineering Association.
Trip Itinerary
Day 01 : Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.
Day 02 : Preparation for the upcoming adventure
Day 03 : Fly Kathmandu to Lukla and trek to Paiya (2,730m)
Day 04 : Trek Paiya to Panggom (2,846m)
Day 05 : Trek Panggom to Shibuche (2,745m)
Day 06 : Trek Shibuche to Chetrakhola (3,150m)
Day 07 : Trek Chetrakhola to Kothe (3,600m)
Day 08 : Trek Kothe to Tangnang (4,350m)
Day 09 : Acclimatization, day walk to Charpate Himal Glacier
Day 10 : Trek Tangnang to Khare (5,045m)
Day 11 : Trek Khare to Mera Base Camp (5,300m)
Day 12 : Trek Mera Base Camp to High camp (5,780m)
Day 13 : Mera High Camp to Summit (6,461m) and back to Khare (5,045m)
Day 14 : Reserve day for Contigency
Day 15 : Trek Khare to Kothe (3,600m)
Day 16 : Trek Kothe to Thuli Kharka (4,300m)
Day 17 : Trek Thuli Kharka to Lukla
Day 18 : Fly back to Kathmandu
Day 19 : Leisure in Kathmandu
Day 20 : Final departure, transfer to International Airport.
